Facilitator Training Programme

Learn how to use the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) materials and methodology and become a certified facilitator

Certification Training in Designing and Facilitating Workshops This training programme provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) materials and methodology during their own workshops. It will be facilitated by Per Kristiansen, co-developer of the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) method and one of the most experienced facilitators worldwide.

What is LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R)?

LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) (LSP) is a powerful approach that helps diverse groups of people to engage in creative ways to develop solutions to complex issues. During a structured process, participants use building bricks to create models that express their thoughts, reflections and ideas. LSP is an experiential method used at organisations worldwide to unlock the full potential of managers and staff. Organisations that use LSP include Daimler Chrysler, Novo Nordisk, Roche, KLM en Rijkswaterstaat. It is a method based on a robust set of theories, predominantly from the domains of strategy, organisational behaviour, systems thinking as well as learning and development.

Who is this training for?

This training is aimed at in-house learning and development specialists, HR staff, team leaders, educators, innovation experts as well as professional facilitators and consultants who want to use it in their own practice and give trainings on topics such as teambuilding, strategy development and exploration, innovation and product development, or scenario development.

What are the learning objectives?

The Facilitator Training enables participants to:

  • Understand the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) method and its main applications, Real Time Strategy for the Enterprise (business and organisational development) and Real Time Strategy for the Team (team, people and relationship development)
  • Gain the knowledge and experience needed to effectively implement and facilitate the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) technique and applications.
  • Explore and learn more about the concepts and values underlying LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) and its applications.

The benefits of the Facilitator Training Programme

The facilitator training provides participants with hands-on experiences, theory, facilitation guidelines and application ideas. At the end of the training, participants will have acquired sufficient insights, information and application ideas to develop and successfully deliver workshops using the LEGO(R) SERIOUS PLAY(R) methodology. They will receive a document of qualification, issued by Trivium/The Association of Master trainers, as evidence.

The training will be held from Monday, 5 September till Thursday, 8 September 2011 in The Hague, The Netherlands.
